Finance Analyst — FP&A, Gurugram

About the role
This role sits in the finance team and focuses on FP&A — budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. You will be the person who builds the annual plan, runs the monthly close against it, refreshes the forecast each quarter, and turns the numbers into something a non-finance manager can read in five minutes. The work is on-site at the Gurugram office.
What you will do
- Build and own the annual operating plan in coordination with department heads, and translate it into a working model the team uses month on month.
- Run the monthly budgeting and variance analysis cycle — actuals against plan, drivers behind the gap, and a short written commentary for each material variance.
- Maintain and refresh the quarterly reforecast, incorporating hiring, revenue, cost and FX movements, and explain the bridge from the last view to the new one.
- Prepare monthly management reporting — board-ready pack, departmental dashboards, and the working files behind them.
- Build and maintain financial models in Excel for headcount, revenue, cost and scenario analysis; keep them auditable and version-controlled.
- Present numbers to non-finance managers in reviews and one-to-ones — explain what changed, what it means for their budget, and what they need to do.
- Partner with Finance on month-end close, audit support and statutory filings as the planning cycle requires.
- Improve the planning process itself — templates, calendars, the way assumptions are captured and approved.
What we need
- 3 to 5 years of FP&A experience at a mid-sized company.
- Hands-on with monthly budgeting and variance analysis, the annual planning cycle, and quarterly reforecasts.
- Strong Excel — pivot tables, lookups, and working with large, structured models without breaking them.
- Comfortable presenting numbers to non-finance managers and answering the awkward follow-up questions.

- Exposure to a SaaS or services business.
